Fun on the Web March 6 2015 Redheads

Many of my friends and I are all redheads. That means we all have the redhead gene MC1R. We have been teased, have more need for anesthesia therefore hate dentists, we feel cold more, are more intelligent, more assertive, and have even been accused of magical powers in the past.

When you are redhead there are expectations. People expect more temper, feisty humor, confidence, and ability. People often ask if you are Irish and assume your favorite holiday is St. Patrick's Day. I confess to a fondness for Corned Beef but abstain from any green beer or other shenanigans. St Patricks Day is one of two days of the year the amature drinkers come out. Too dangerous for me!

Not fiery red, I am more an auburn. Like many redheads I have the pale skin and freckles too. That also means I am a walking ad for sunscreen. I use moisturizer and lip balm with SPF even in the winter but redheads produce Vitamin D. It has ups and down but I like being a redhead.
