I am a latecomer into the iPhone world and went kicking and screaming lured by Seri doing things for me, while I drove an average of 750 miles a week. For a long time if Seri didn't do it, then I didn't use the feature.
I am never able to "read" those Dummies Books but I sure find their help useful online where Google can sort it out for me. I learn better when I can write it and then immediately apply the information I have learned. I have cut and pasted on my iPhone previously only by accident.
So now I know: double tap, use the handles to set the copy area. Paste is just tap on the cursor. How easy is that?
